Dear, Ami (“the App”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App processes, what information it does not collect, and how data is handled when you use Dear, Ami.
1. Personal Information Collection
Dear, Ami does not require user registration and does not collect information that directly identifies you, such as your name, email address, phone number, home address, or precise location.
Dear, Ami does not store the following information on our servers:
- Names, nicknames, character settings, or other personalization data entered by the user
- Conversation content
- Local server addresses entered by the user
- GPS location data
- Contacts, photos, microphone recordings, camera images, or other sensitive device data
However, depending on the settings of your own local AI server, PC, Mac, or third-party software, logs or records may be stored in your own local environment. Such data is not stored on Dear, Ami servers.
2. How the App Works
Dear, Ami may operate by connecting to a local AI server or internal network configured by the user.
For example, when you connect the App to an AI program running on your own PC or Mac, the App may communicate with that local environment through the server address you provide.
Your input content and connection information are not stored on Dear, Ami servers. They are processed on your device or within the local environment that you configure.
3. Data Retrieved from Supabase
Dear, Ami may use Supabase to retrieve public app data or operational data needed to provide the App.
This may include:
- Announcements
- App version information
- In-app display content
- Default configuration data
- Update notices
Dear, Ami does not use Supabase to store user account information, conversation content, GPS location data, contacts, photos, microphone recordings, or camera images.
However, when the App communicates with cloud services such as Supabase, technical information such as IP address, request time, device information, and network-related logs may be temporarily processed by the service provider.
4. Third-Party Services such as Tailscale
Dear, Ami may provide guidance on using third-party networking tools such as Tailscale to help users connect to their local AI servers from outside their local network.
Tailscale is a third-party service separate from Dear, Ami. Dear, Ami is not affiliated with Tailscale.
If you choose to install or use Tailscale or any other third-party service, that service’s own terms of service and privacy policy will apply. Dear, Ami is not responsible for data processed by third-party services.
5. Advertising and Tracking
Dear, Ami does not currently track users for advertising purposes.
Dear, Ami does not sell personal information to third parties and does not perform personalized advertising or cross-app tracking using advertising identifiers.
6. Device Permissions
Dear, Ami only requests device permissions when they are necessary to provide app functionality.
Dear, Ami does not currently use GPS location data.
If additional permissions are required for future features, the App will explain the purpose of the permission request and ask for your consent before using such permissions.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Because Dear, Ami does not store your personal information on our servers, we do not maintain a separate server-side retention period for personal information.
If settings or connection information are stored locally on your device, you may delete them by deleting the App, resetting the App settings, or using your device settings.
Any data stored in your own local AI server, PC, Mac, or third-party software must be deleted directly from that environment.
8. Children’s Privacy
Dear, Ami does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe that a child’s personal information has been stored on our servers, please contact us using the information below. We will review the matter and take appropriate action if necessary.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time due to changes in app functionality, operations, applicable laws, or app store policies.
If we make changes to this Privacy Policy, we may notify users through the Dear, Ami website or in-app notices.
